Kuta, Bali
After our few day in Ubud, we headed to Kuta on the coast. The main reason for coming to Kuta was to go to Waterbom! It was all we hoped for. Waterslides, lazy river, and lots of laughs. A great way to spend Halloween.
After a great day at Waterbom! We headed out snorkeling on Nusa Lembongan. This is an island of the coast of the main island of Bali. I saw more fish then I have ever seen snorkeling. It was well worth the adventure to get there.
After all the water activities, we decided to take a break and adopt a turtle. I had read about this organization that was saving and caring for sea turtles. Meet Rootbeer, our adopted turtle. Rootbeer is named after the Indonesia Rupia. Miles thought we were saying rootbeer. We released him back into the wild. We plan to come back in 10 years when he should return to this spot.
Our last fun thing we did in Kuta was to take a surf lesson. I have always wanted to do this so why not. By the end of the day, we were all getting up on our boards and surfing real waves. Unfortunately, we lost our GoPro due to a wave crashing and taking it away. Some lucky, person might find it and our adventures. We still managed to get a few pictures.
After almost 2 weeks in paradise, we are moving on to JAPAN! We will miss you Bali and hope to come back again.
